Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children's National
In July 2010, Children’s National Hospital was awarded a prestigious Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) grant from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), to establish the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children’s National (CTSI-CN).
The CTSI-CN recognizes the outstanding strengths in clinical and translational research in our investigative community that includes Children’s National, the Children’s National Research Institute, the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation, as well as diverse Schools and Programs at The George Washington University, our partner in this CTSA-funded program.

Children’s National Research Institute provides a centralized administrative infrastructure to support the research community and to ensure compliance with federal, local and private sponsor regulations as well as terms and conditions.

Innovation Ventures manages all aspects of intellectual property development, creates strategic business partnerships with external stakeholders and provides educational information to foster academic entrepreneurship.
