Triplett Laboratory
About the Lab
People rely heavily on visual systems to seamlessly perceive the world, navigate through complex environments and communicate effectively with one another. To do this requires the exquisitely precise wiring of visual circuits throughout the brain during development. The Triplett Laboratory focuses on understanding the molecular and activity-dependent mechanisms by which these precise circuits are established in the developing brain and how these processes are disrupted in neurodevelopmental disorders. To approach this complex problem, we utilize cutting-edge genetic and molecular approaches, circuit tracing methods and functional readouts.
