Seth Berger, M.D., Ph.D., completed the Medical Scientist Training Program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York where he was awarded M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. He subsequently completed the combined Pediatrics and Medical Genetics Residency Program through Children's National Hospital and the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Berger spent an additional year completing the Medical Biochemical Genetics fellowship program at the NIH before returning to Children's National.
Dr. Berger's research is focused on bioinformatic approaches applied to variant discovery for rare diseases. He has developed several software tools for genomic variant analysis and interpretation and is actively applying these approaches to several cohorts.
