The work that happens at the Children’s National Research Institute (CNRI) is possible thanks to the dedication of hundreds of researchers that work behind the scenes. Their commitment ensures our mission to deliver breakthroughs for children is fulfilled.
In the coming months, we will be interviewing researchers from across our five centers, asking about their background, interests and thoughts about working at Children’s National.
We recently met Madeline King, who is both a former patient and a researcher at Children’s National, during Research, Education & Innovation Week 2022, and sat down to ask her about her experience and incredible story. As a cancer survivor who has begun her research career while still in high school, Madeline serves as an inspiration and as a shining example of our researchers’ incredible commitment to giving back. Her answers have been edited and condensed.
